Bus Simulator Munchen puts you in the driver's seat of a city bus. In a market that's overflowing with cute cartoon mascots and muscle-bound men with giant guns, TML Studios have managed to carve out a refreshingly specific niche for themselves. There's something zen in the philosophy of their bus driving games, which ask players to tackle the mundane but somehow entrancing task of piloting a bus. It's your job to handle all the mechanical operations of the bus in addition to obeying traffic laws and collecting fares. It's a surprisingly meditative approach to game play that can quickly draw you in before you realize it.

But as with many of this company's bus simulators, the biggest star of this game is the city itself. The complete 100 Line has been lovingly recreated for the sake of players. This path takes you through an incredibly detailed and meticulously crafted version of Munich, bringing you past over 20 museums and countless other tourist spots. The mechanics may take some time to get used to, but the actual experience feels like diving into a virtual tour of one of Germany's most beautiful cities. That authenticity extends to the functionality of the bus as well. The physics engine is on point, and the Munich copilot system is drawn from the mechanical assistant in place in the real life Munich buses. Practically everything is an improvement on the prior City Bus Simulator 2010 - New York. If you're looking to get out and explore the city without having to worry about the stress of bus operations, you can feel free to get out and explore the entire bus line on foot for a more laid back and immersive experience.

Users looking for a more exhaustive and holistic simulation experience will find it in the form of the Traffic Director, which puts you in control of the entire bus line. The game systems are further complemented by the inclusion of tuning options for the engine. While it might not have the moment-to-moment adrenaline thrills of a first person shooter or the air of whimsy and creativity you'll find in more fantastic games, City Bus Simulator Munchen is a great alternative when you just want to kick back and smell the roses. The love they've put into every aspect of the setting design shines through in every inch of textures.
